me, an intellectual: it’s cute how people think character traits and personalities are black and white and they refuse to look deeper. for example, maggie sawyer is clearly emotionally damaged, but her capacity to love outweighs that. she’s not a ‘player’ because she dates so many girls. there is canon evidence that she’s dated so many girls because she’s looking for ‘the one’. alex well and truly makes her nervous, and maggie rejected her for her own benefit, because she doesn’t want to hurt her. maggie is mostly selfless, but she has moments of selfishness too, making her multi dimensional. maggie jumps forward in the face of danger instead of being careful. maggie’s heart is guarded by words like ‘insensitive’ and 'sociopath’ and is cracked open when someone calls her 'amazing’. maggie has no shame in who she is, but there may have been a time where she was. maggie is passionate and loves fiercely, which is why she and alex are a perfect match. maggie sawyer is more than what we’ve seen in six episodes of screentime.
